A little love session

I love this little spot. Maybe it's the little giggles from the kids as they play. Maybe it's warm sunlight that filters through the trees. Or maybe, it's just because it feels like a really happy place.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Alisha and Jason.

We chatted about what they did for work and where they were off to for dinner tonight (German, yum!).

Thanks for spending the afternoon with me :) I think we managed to coax a few smiles :)

Colmslie Beach Reserve // Styled Shoot

My goal when participating in a style shoot is to showcase ideas and concepts that a bride never knew she wanted. While they need to be a little different, they also need to be designed so that a bride can put her own touch on it for their own wedding.

A style shoot is a fabulous way to have a play around with concepts, without the pressure of real wedding timelines. You also get the opportunity to hand select other vendors that we may not have worked with before.

I am so thankful to the wedding planning playbook  who featured this style shoot. Queensland Brides magazine has also used a few of these images in their last two magazine publications, and again for next seasons issue.

Diana + Eamonn // Brisbane Wedding

I love photographing weddings in churches. There are so many beautiful churches in Brisbane, we are pretty lucky.

Another one of my favourite places to photograph my lovely couples would be Roma Street Park lands, the formal garden is spectacular. Amazing colours and funky little animals shaped in the hedges.

Diana's brother surprised her with a lovely mode of transport to the ceremony.

Here are a few favs of mine from Diana + Eamonns day ... finished off at the XXXX brewery, nothing beats tapping your own keg! Cheers!

LANDING AT DOCKSIDE WEDDING OPEN NIGHT

I seriously don’t think I will ever cease to be amazed by the talent of our wedding professionals here in Brisbane and their generosity and warmth. There are so many industries that are closed off and secretive but the friends I have made over the past 5 years since I have been photographing weddings are nothing short of incredible.

Last week I was invited to display at the Landing at Dockside as part of their annual wedding open night. I was thrilled to not only spend the day with other fabulous wedding professionals, but to also meet some fantastic brides and grooms as they plan their weddings.

For those of you who were able to to stop by and introduce yourself, thank you! It was a pleasure meeting so many brides and grooms as they were inspired by the incredible talent available to them in Brisbane.

And of course, I took some shots of the loveliness in some of the rooms ..

Loving Lately: messy beds + music + aussie TV

Another installment of loving lately...just in case your Fridayday morning is dragging on slower than you'd like!

 1. Sleeping in. The kids have started back at school, which means early starts. My lovely husband has let me sleep in for an extra ten minutes these past few days. Normally I'm up with him at about 7.30ish, packing the kids lunch, helping him make breakfast and dressing the kids. I love my extra ten minutes :)

 2. Ipod/Iphone bluetooth speaker. Apparently I am hard to buy for. I received this as a Christmas gift from Santa and I love it. It links up with my Iphone and Ipod via bluetooth and is actually very loud. Thank you fat man.

3. Home and Away. By now I would expect that you have come to realise that I make no apologies for the things I like, including Twilight, trashy magazines, and every single Kardashian.

I would have to be one of h+a's most loyal fans. I have been watching this show FOREVER. More to the point, I heart Brax. Those of you with taste will know exactly who I am talking about.
Appreciation and dedication.

And in place of a tune I'm loving lately, can we just all take a moment to honour this fabulous rendition by the cast of Glee ..
DONT STOP ... BELIEEEEVVVVVIINNNNNN!!!!!!!

Andy ~ the prettiest second shooter around

Meet Andy. The prettiest second shooter around.

I love that she is super organised, and really relaxed.

I can give her a task, and she does it. She stays so well hidden in amongst the guests, sometimes I can't even find her.

I love that she dresses her fur babies up for Christmas, and loves the smell of a real Christmas tree also.

I love that she loves hot chocolate like I do.
